Compare and contrast Lutheran and Catholic views on the question: How are Christians saved?

I'm doing this as background info for a paper I have to begin writing. I know a decent amount (tradition+Scriptures, works+faith vs faith, sola scriptura, etc.) but I'd like to put this out there to see if any geniuses, theologians, or Christians of any sect want to help further.
