Snow trip in California?! WHERE TO GO??!!?

I don't know all the details about the place, but you should try Big Bear. Instead of living in a hotel, you should rent a cabin...that might be much cheaper. Check Craigslist for cabins if you don't mind sifting through all the creepy people on there...or just drive up there one of these days and find out...it ain't that far from Anaheim.
