Does it seem as if many Christian congregations are making the Lord's work more of a profitable buisness?

Well I know many churches, you did say Christian congregations in your question. (Then you changed to talking about the shows on TV, so I will answer the original question) who have gone seeker friendly to bring in the people, so that they will get their numbers up. One church specifically I know of did this so that they could get more money to pay off their building. I think that the question of the TV evangelists is whole other topic.
