Why did God first come to the Hindus as Krishna and why did he first give them their texts WAY before Jesus?

Christians believe that to not accept Jesus means to go to hell. Yet for 1000s of years before Jesus God was cool with the Hindus and giving them all their texts etc... Why would God choose to give his revelations and instructions to the Hindus right at the onset and wait forever before sending Jesus?
