Are white americans all racist?

I don't think so, but there is far more racism in the U.S...I'm a white canadian, and I went to visit Virginia for a month....And I heard old people sayig the 'n" word to little black boys pong by....I was in shock, here in Canada racism is vey rare...maybe because Canada is a melting pot...I dunno, but I thought Canada and the U.S were in the same pace as in "Open mindness and diversity in culture"?
