I Have A Huge Problem, Somebody Please Help?

Sadly, I love to gossip. I just love hearing things about people and to make things worse, I like spreading them. I've never stopped because it's never come back to me. But the other day I was frustrated with my friend, because she was always hung out with her new bf. She would blow me off to hang out with him. I know, It's a pretty pathetic thing to get upset about right? Anyways, to get back I messaged her pretending like I just heard something from someone, that she calls me names behind my back and she said she never did. Of course I got guilty and I said I believe you. Wow I'm lame... anyhow. She wanted to know who it was and I tried to pick the person she disliked the most and I picked a girl named Sabrina, that she's friends with but Sabrina has been really mean to her. She promised not to tell Sabrina, I told her this and she even said that Sabrina said thing's about me. It's just a whole endless chain of gossip and I want to stop causing it!! I know I'm probably about to get a lot of comments saying how much of a b!!!tch I am and I need to get a life and I know it's true, but I need to tell the truth to get real answers right? So please, how can I change and how can I fix this problem?
