Why earthly elements?

A religious trick to have you hand over your earthly wealth seeing that you won't be needing it in heaven as the roads are paved with gold.. and there's the problem.. you need the wealth now not later when it's insignificant.. but of course your expected to covet a life in heaven and not an earthly one
